what inspired the name "nova eighty five"?
the first and only recorded supernova in the andromeda galaxy, SN 1885A. this also inspired my IG handle for my makeup page (s.andromedae). i thought it was cute to tie them together. <3
how quickly will my earrings ship?
orders are processed within 5 business days, which includes M-F minus any holidays. after that, it entirely depends on the shipping provider as far as any possible delays go!
what are your pieces made with, are they good for sensitive ears/skin?
earrings are made with a stainless steel leverback for the finding that actually goes into your piercing! you can also upgrade to huggie hoops if you prefer that, the option is available on listings. i personally have sensitive ears and these findings work for me very well, but keep in mind your own sensitivities.
all necklaces are made with a stainless steel clasp and extender. wire, jump rings, and beads/pendants vary!
extra elements on all pieces vary. beads/charms include but are not limited to: czech glass, resin, ceramic, wood, stainless steel, silver, brass, pearl, glass, stone, pewter. feel free to email/DM if you have questions, and i can answer if able!
do you offer clip-ons, different earring findings, etc?
i am not offering clip-ons, other styles of hoops, or hooks at this time. some of my earrings are heavier than ideal for clip-ons! however, i can remove findings from earrings and replace them with a couple stainless steel rings, so you can use them as a charm on existing hoops! leave a note at checkout.
can i customize the length of a necklace?
yes! if you need a necklace longer, leave a note at checkout with the length you need. i can add extender length as needed, at no additional cost. most necklaces cannot be shortened.
how should i take care of my earrings?
keep them clean and dry! the findings are stainless steel, which won't tarnish or rust, but all other elements vary. the smaller jump rings / wires on earrings are often silver plated, tarnishing over time is normal with that, and can be easily cleaned with a polishing cloth or microfiber cloth. beads/chains/charms can be fragile. some of them may be vintage, and some may be affected by heavy exposure to perfume/sweat/skincare/etc. also, don't sleep in them, it wouldn't be comfortable anyways!
what is your return/exchange policy?
no returns or exchanges, except in the event of an item being damaged in transit. i will do my absolute best to figure out the best solution for you! i cannot guarantee i will be able to remake the same earring, due to the limited nature of some beads/etc. however, i can offer a similar replacement or a refund as needed. :)
will i have to pay duties when ordering internationally?
it should be only at checkout! duties are prepaid at checkout thanks to global e-market integration. however, any additional fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
